Natural disasters and health crises leave lasting scars on vulnerable communities. Through Perider, EEGA Trust’s Disaster Relief and Rehabilitation program, we respond swiftly and compassionately — restoring dignity, rebuilding homes, and reviving hopes.

Our Humanitarian Interventions :

Since 2016, EEGA Trust has played a vital role in helping communities recover from major crises — notably Cyclone Gaja in 2018 and the COVID-19 pandemic from 2020 to 2022.

We focus on emergency relief, long-term rehabilitation, and resilience-building, with special attention to women, children, the elderly, and the marginalized poor communities.

Highlights of Perider Initiatives :

Cyclone Gaja Response (2018)

Emergency support to 848 families with food, solar lamps, mats, clothing, hygiene kits, and household supplies.

Housing assistance to 12 vulnerable women.

Distributed 12 livestock to 12 women from marginalised communities

Water scarcity relief in 14 rural hamlets through infrastructure support.

Educational Rehabilitation

Distributed school supplies worth ₹5 lakhs to disaster-affected children, supporting their return to education.

Health and Mental Wellbeing

Organized camps for physical and mental health care, focusing on trauma recovery for women and children.

COVID-19 Response (2020–2022)

Reached 2,690 families with emergency food and hygiene kits during lockdowns.
Promoted vaccination awareness, safe practices, and mental health support.
Supported widowed women, elderly, and mentally ill individuals with food, counseling, and essential care.
Assisted students with online education and remote learning tools.
Helped restore homes for COVID-affected families.
